BREAKING: Gabon military officers claim power, say election lacked credibility.
A gathering of senior military officials has gone on public TV in Gabon saying they have held onto power since races held over the course of the end of the week were not dependable.
The officials, showing up on Gabon24 in the early long periods of Wednesday morning, said they had dropped the decisions, broke down all state foundations and shut the nation’s lines.
They said they addressed all security and safeguard powers of Gabon.
The declaration came soon after the state political decision body said President Ali Bongo Ondimba had won a third term in office in Saturday’s contested races.
“For the sake of the Gabonese public … we enjoy chose to shield the harmony by stopping the ongoing system,” the officials said.

Bongo was the contender for the Gabonese Leftist alliance (PDG), the party established by his dad, Omar Bongo, who administered Gabon with an iron clench hand from 1967 to 2009. After his passing, his child, then the guard serve, had his spot as president and has been in power from that point forward.
Pressures had been running intense in the midst of Saturday’s vote with the resistance pushing for change and a finish to the Bongo family’s predominance of Gabon.
