FIBA WORLD CUP 2023.
A month remains as basketball fans eagerly wait for the much-anticipated Fiba World Cup. A total of 32 nations will be battling it out to win the title. For the first time the Fiba world cup will be held across three host nations in the Philippines, Japan and Indonesia.
USA, SPAIN, FRANCE, SERBIA, GRECE are the favorites to take home the trophy, but team USA have a more youthful roster consisting of 11 current NBA players, along with three veteran players with NBA, NBA G League, international and USA Basketball experience, which might be an advantage or a disadvantage to the USA team, many questions will be asked of the lack of experience in the roster although they do have three veteran players in their squad.
With Countries like South Sudan who will be participating in this tournament for the first time in the country’s history, It will be a moment to cherish for the African Continent as one of the best basketball teams in Africa will be competing at a higher level with other countries.
As preparation come to an end, the much-anticipated world cup will begin on the 25th of August 2023, as Spain defend their title as world champions.
