Merciless Bundesliga Champions
In the course of a training camp in Tegernsee, Bayern Munich traveled south of Munich for a match against Rottach-Egern.
Bayern the defending German champion, showed no compassion when playing the amateur team, hammering ninth-tier Rottach-Egern 27-0.
Jamal Musiala’s goal for Bayern against the local team came after just three minutes.
Before the halftime whistle, Tuchel’s team did not hold back, and this gave them the upper hand.
By halftime, the score was already 18-0, but Rottach-Egern was able to keep the damage to a manageable nine goals.
Thirteen players scored, including Serge Gnabry with a hat-trick, Mathys Tel with five goals, Marcel Sabitzer with four, and Jamal Musiala with five.
Sabitzer, who spent last season’s loan season with Manchester United, scored all five of his goals in the final 22 minutes of the half.
Other players that scored include Ryan Gravenberch, Kingsley Coman, Alphonso Davies, Konrad Laimer, Noussair Mazraoui, Dayot Upamecano, Leroy Sane, Raphael Guerreiro, and Sadio Mane.
Head coach Thomas Tuchel played two completely different squads to begin each half of the game at Bayern Munich’s training facility next to Tegernsee.
Bayern’s newly signed Minjae Kim, who signed his contract just hours before the preseason match, was present.
Bayern, who have been linked to Kane this summer, defeated the same opponents 23-0 in 2019 and 20-2 in 2018, outscoring them 70-2 overall over the course of three games.
